 El 6 de abril de 2025, Hamas disparó aproximadamente 10 cohetes desde Gaza. Mientras algunos fueron interceptados, otros impactaron Ashkelon, sur de Israel. Durante los últimos 18 meses, Israel ha sufrido implacables ataques con cohetes tanto de Hamas como de la Yihad Islámica Palestina en Gaza. Israel tiene todo el derecho a defenderse a sí mismo.
