Twelve years after Lt. Hadar Goldin was killed and his body taken by Hamas terrorists during Operation Protective Edge, his family held their first memorial service at his graveside in Kfar Saba - the first since his remains were finally returned to Israel for burial in November 2025.

Hundreds attended, including family members, fellow soldiers, and Israeli singer Idan Amedi, who has stood by the Goldin family for years. Hadar's sister Ayelet, her voice breaking with tears, described visiting his grave: "I sat pressed close to you and asked for so much - for our parents' health, for the family, that we would be happy." She closed with words Hadar wrote to his own soldiers: "I believe in lions. Roar in the face of fear. Protect your friends with devotion." May his memory be a blessing. 🇮🇱
