 Israeli forward Dor Turgeman was targeted by “Death to Israel” chants from fans during an MLS match between CF Montréal and the New England Revolution on Saturday.

After scoring his fourth league goal of the season, Turgeman celebrated in front of the Montreal supporters - responding defiantly to the anti-Israel abuse coming from the stands. The celebration sparked a confrontation on the field. CF Montréal condemned the incident and opened an investigation alongside MLS and the New England Revolution. Turgeman had no regrets. “From the first moment I heard ‘Death to Israel’ from the stands,” he said. “Israel is above everything for me. I’m proud to be Israeli. I’d do exactly the same thing again.”
