The United Nations human rights chief has revealed that the Iranian regime has executed at least 56 people on national security-related charges since March 19, 2026 - 27 of them in cases directly connected to the January anti-government protests in which thousands were killed.
UN rights chief Volker Türk warned that more than 100 additional people face death sentences on similar charges, and that executions for drug-related offenses are continuing at an "alarming rate
