Eilat:
Eilat es una ciudad turística, la más meridional de la ciudad en Israel, y la única ciudad israelí en la costa del mar rojo. En 1934, incluso antes de que Israel fue establecido david ben gurion, lo que fue visitado entonces conocido como umm rashrash, y se presentarán su visión para transformar la ciudad en una próspera ciudad portuaria.

In 1949, as the War of Independence came to a close, Israeli Defense Forces pushed through the desert and arrived at Eilat, which they captured without a battle. The soldiers wanted to raise the Israeli flag but having none, were forced to make their own. They drew two ink stripes on a white sheet, sewed on a Star of David torn off a first-aid kit and raised the improvised flag over Eilat. That moment marked the end of the War on Indepence. In Eilat, a bronze sculpture commemorates the event.
